I'm finding that an increasing amount of my time is spent discussing my daughter's bowels and what comes out of them.
While I know this annoys my coworkers, for some reason it helps to talk about it. It's like some silly psychotherapy (no offense Tom Cruise). I think that most parents out there would agree with me. Oprah should really do a segment on it.
I really hope it's over soon. Lilly is doing great, but I'm tired of tripping over the "urine/feces capture device" known as the "potty chair".
Sometimes I wonder who designs these things? I can't help but laugh when Lilly kicks me out of the bathroom and then proceeds to grab onto the built in HANDLES and grunt like she's a pig rolling around in the mud. Maybe everyone needs handles on their toilets. It's worth a thought.
When she's done, the little urine/feces capture device (I like to call it "Bob") is totally filled. She will then get up and happily splash pee and poop all the way over to the toilet where she can empty it and flush 26 times just to make sure it all goes down. (Why are kids excited over swirling water?).
It's when I hear all those flushes that I know all my trauma is worth it. My girl is growing up.
...and I'm saving a ton on diapers.
SPECIAL NOTE TO "POTTY CHAIR ENGINEERS": Kids have bigger "payloads" then your "Bob" is designed for. We need a bigger "Bob".
